Pain mechanism classification is a simple tool that helps you to be more effective and efficient in the clinic. Classifying the dominant pain mechanism helps clinicians to focus on a treatment approach that is most likely to help the patient. Targeted treatments just make more sense.
Great course!
Thank you so much for this course. I enjoyed understanding the differences in classifying the types of pain seen in patients. I like how knowing the dominant source of the pain type can help determine the type of treatment plan necessary all while still staying true to a patient cantered treatment plan. So interesting how pain is defined as actual or just threatened thought to damage to non neural tissue. It makes so much sense. Very practical information thank you!
