Workshop Description

The Pelvic Girdle is central to balance & function of the entire body. Fascial strain in the legs, trunk or pelvis itself can create compensations, movement dysfunction & lead to pain. These imbalances can be the underlying causes of pain & dysfunction even though they are at a distance from the site of pain.

This course aims to give the clinician a frame work for understanding (myo)fascial tissue dynamics informed from the current science, clinical reasoning skills & effective treatment techniques. Treating the pelvis from a fascial perspective, is a powerful tool for any manual therapist.

In this workshop you can expect to;

  • Understand outcomes of current fascial research & integrate this knowledge into developing a sound clinical method for treatment of myofascial dysfunction.
  • Learn screening tests to identify areas of dysfunction.
  • Learn clinical reasoning skills that will show you where to start & how to be more effective.
  • Learn effective treatment techniques to help optimize your patients function.
